Semester is nearing its end, and soon our summer vacation will start. It is fascinating how time runs so fast. Anyways, I decided to write about what this project meant for me. And well.. I guess I can not never explain it in this way properly, but atleast I'll try.
I'll be honest, this project meant so much to me that it surprised me. It made me realise so much and brought so much good in my life, that I'm so grateful for it all. I enjoyed the activities, work and even the "boring" parts of the project were actually very cool. Two weeks full of tiring but really interesting things to do and places to see, was quite an experience.
I want to thank every single one of you for this project, and say that you're all absolutely amazing! I made so many new friends and got so much insight in to the Italian culture and many of its details, which I did not even know of. I think we think too much based on pure stereotypes and expectations instead of keeping an open mind. That is a one thing that I'm never going to leave behind: thinking out of the boxes. I realised cultures mean so much. Habits of all kinds depend on culture mainly. That is what this project surely taught me.
Teachers, thanks for making this all happen and guiding us all through it. Im sure it was fun for you too, but I respect your efforts and concrete work for this project. Without you it would not have been as great as it was. And students; You are amazing, all of you. I made some real friends and learned so much about Italian people. And yeah, as you all propably know, I fell in love, deeply. I dont know where I would be, if I would not have taken part in this project.. In fact, I dont want to even think about it. But I know one thing. I would do it all again with pleasure! Italian brothers you are always welcome! If you are in Finland, just let me know and you'll have a place to stay for sure. I guarantee that.
